Basic Raiding Guidelines
The following is a basic idea of what happens on a raid with the alliance.
Before the Raid
The first step to attending a raid is for you to sign up on the raid calendar. If you are having issues
with the website you will need to contact the raid leader to get on the list to attend a raid. br>
Raid invites will start going out either 15 or 30 minutes before the raid begins. If you want to get a spot in
a raid you need to be online before the start of the raid. If you are not online at
least 10 minutes before the raid without letting the raid leader know that you will be pushing the start time
the raid leader may start looking for a replacement. If you let the leader know that you will be late things
can be worked out for you to log on and get an immediate invite.
In addition to being online for invites you should be fully supplied with food, potions and other items that
are needed for raiding. You are expected to have the basic raiding supplies on your character. Being Prepared
is a part of raiding.
During the Raid
We use ventrilo to communicate during the raid. While it is fun to talk with all of your friends idle chatter
will cause the raid to bog down and go slowly. Time is a precious commodity. Once the pulls start please
leave any commuication on Vent to the Raid Leader and Raid Assistants (this includes class leaders).
If there is something important going on in the raid it is a good idea to tell us about it. (i.e. you've died
and need someone to heal for your tank). One key point, the only person to make calls affecting the entire
raid is the Raid Leader. This means that you should only listen to calls to retreat from the raid leader.
If you need an explaination on a fight ask. If you need to know what you are doing in reguards to your
class please check with your class leader.
DKP
DKP will mainly be used for larger alliance runs (25 man content). It may be adopted for smaller runs as
that Raid Leader sees fit. The following details how DKP will be awarded and subtracted. DKP is tracked on the website.
+10 points for signing up and being there on time.
+10 points per Boss downed.
-10 points for signing up and not being on time without getting word to the Raid Leader prior to start with reason for being late.
The first 4 weeks we will be trying to get the Main Tanks and Main Healers geared if it drops for them and will be decided by the Raid Leader.
During this period loot for DPS will be determined by /random 100.
When DKP is implemented fully we will be using an annoymous bidding system, if the item is an upgrade for you, you will be given instructions on who to send your whisper bid. At this time we have agreed on Soulzor. If a warlock item drops the Raid Leader will request him send his bid at that time prior to other warlocks sending him their bid.
Minimum bid will be 20 and bids will be in increments of 10.
Points are by the person, so if the Raid Leader request you bring another class character to enhance the raid and you do the points will follow you not your toon.
